Urban environment

Short sound cues can establish public space quickly: distant traffic, voices, club bass, sirens or a passing train. Keep them selective rather than constant.

Violence and aftermath

You do not need graphic realism. Impact can come from a sudden disruption in the sound world, followed by ring, silence, pulse or distorted fragments that leave the audience unsettled.

Pressure and memory

Repeated audio motifs can suggest recurring fear or public scrutiny. Voices, crowd noise or filtered speech may work if your concept emphasises memory or media pressure.

Answer tip

Always explain timing. A sound effect has more value when you state the exact moment it enters, how long it lasts and what emotional turn it supports.
